montreal! people keep speaking french to me here. i guess i don't really look that american, somehow. this morning i was reading at a cafe and some loud screaming erupted. i looked up and saw this guy being held down by three cops, and two more were standing back and looking on.

the screaming went on for about eight minutes.

eight minutes.

it was pretty surreal, and on some level, i could kind of sympathize with the guy.

because come on. who hasn't felt like that before?
